The mage proved them wrong because he utilized his magic expertise and the left-behinds of the hybernians to summon and bind some medusae fighters to his own will. The other villagers laughed at Shâr because their support for Duûl was much greater than the trust in the weird Shâr. Alll that matters is that the stars sent you to save us from Shâr - and that we, should you succeed, give you the Xarlonthep stone in return one seeking for something to end a curse put upon his land. They told me that soon, the ancient portal would be re-opened and a stranger would come. Shâr however attempted to disrupt this tradition and he demanded the so-called Trial of Brothers, another hybernian tradition. Following the hybernian traditions kept up by the Uulyas Tribe demanded the eldest son to become the next Jaarâs of the tribe. However this was revealed to be the manifestation of a great magic potential. Other than his brother Duûl, Shâr had always been a fragile being with low physical strength and many mental breakdowns. The star-reader presumably had already foreseen their arrival and while Corporal Tahar was urged to help against Shâr's snake-spawn.Īshâ revealed that Shâr had been her son and thus a part of the Uulyas Tribe. Mêkil brought the group to the Uulyas Tribe's village and after having talked to the barrier guard Yakuul, he presented the outsiders to their Jaarâs, Ashâ. ![]() Yakuul welcoming Corporal Tahar to the Uulyas Tribe He jumped directly into the portal in order to investigate the lands of his dreams. Whateley was staggered and could not believe his eyes. A huge magic burst was heard and the portal activated. With the stone in his possession, Corporal Tahar went back to talk to Whateley but when he came closer, a miracle suddenly happened. South of the fields in the proximity to Rohesia and George Tanner's farm, the Portal Stone could be found at a small lake. Whateley once possessed such a stone but after the portal refused to be activated, he threw it away in frustration. ![]() In order to be able to ignite a hybernian portal, one would require a portal stone. When Corporal Tahar and his companions arrived at the scene a few bandits had to be defeated first, before talking again to the unlucky archaeologist. The portal had been abandoned after he had not been able to activate it. Only after being paid 30 coins, he would tell Corporal Tahar.Īfter having been paid, Ilbertus Whateley told the Corporal about the old portal he had once excavated northwest of Everlight. However it was the most crowded time at the great market, if he were to leave, he would not gain enough coins to make it through the next days. ![]() Upon being asked where the portal could be found, Ilbertus Whateley offered, to show it to him and his companions. He had been having these strange dreams since his childhood - of a secluded island within the Black Sea that no explorer had ever laid eyes uponĪnd since no one wished to support him anymore after this, his private reserves were gone and he was forced to abandon the project alltogether. All the nobles who usually fund these kinds of things had rejected him. He showed up here some years ago, asking for funding for his bizarre excavation. In his families' belongings he had found leads that were pointing on an ancient portal leading to an Unknown Island within the Black Sea. Inside the guild Corporal Tahar met with Callagan Theal, the archivar of the guild was able to tell the required information: A man called Ilbertus Whateley had claimed to be of hybernian blood. However his name, his profession or whether he had been successful remained unknown the only lead was to go to the Creators' Guild and trying to find someone who knew something about it. Another was lost in the Black Sea but a few years back a scholar in Everlight was supposed to have found ways to get there.īoth stones needed to be collected in order to continue, the order did not matter.Ī few years back someone in Everlight had been searching for funds for an expedition or excavation according to the Corporal's companions. One was rumored to be in Aonir's Blade at the Iron Falcons' fortress. The Nexus of Mulandir still needed to be reignited with two Nexus Stones. After the Corporal had aquired at least one supporting army, he and his companions would decide upon the next steps. ![]()
